Waltham is a small town in Mower County, southern Minnesota, United States. Its population as of the 2010 census was 237 people. The town was originally settled in the mid-1850s by Norwegian immigrants, and the name "Waltham" comes from a community in Scotland.
Today, Waltham is primarily an agricultural community, with corn and soybeans being the main crops grown in the area. The town also has a small business district and a number of local organizations, such as a Lions Club and a community center.
Though small, Waltham hosts a number of community events throughout the year, such as a Fourth of July celebration, a town-wide garage sale, and a holiday craft fair. Its location near the junction of Highways 218 and 251 also makes it conveniently located for travel within the region.
